Sometimes the way around has been to start the engine, put into 1st gear and take off the handbrake then put into reverse to actually move the car out of the parking space. No benzina could be the fuel shut-off switch. It almost *has* to be the fuel shut off switch as (as my old mechanic used to say) the fuel pump must have been working okay when it hit the wall. You can rig a direct feed to the fuel pump (under the rear seat) if you want to prove that the pump works.
