Hey guys I literally just picked up my new galaxy watch 6 classic maybe 5 hours ago. Well I wore it and when I got home the battery was on 0% and then I charged it to 100% and about 5 minutes after turning it on its hot! And it keeps saying watch cooling. Also the airplane mode turns on and it says emergency calls only. When using the Bluetooth, the battery drain is minimal, and the watch stays cold. When using LTE (no problem with the signal), the watch heats a lot, especially when it's trying to connect to the phone. Yes because We don't receive most notifications if the phone is not connected. Battery drain is also huge. Like 4 or 5 times the Bluetooth usage. Using your devices in an environment outside of normal operating conditions (between 32 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit). Placing your devices on/near a heat source, such as leaving them in a parked car on a hot day or continuously having them exposed to direct sunlight. Running multiple apps for an extended period of time or using processor no, LTE works fine for me, even in direct sunlight. Do keep in mind that it 100% depends on how strong your LTE signal is, if it is really weak, then the watch will overheat. Also let the watch do all the software and app updates, leave it connected to wifi and charger for a few hours, then when all is done, then you can start playing around Did some testing with over 30 mins of LTE use. Mixed data (Spotify) and voice (standard call). The watch did get warmer, up to 31C on the front glass which was around 5 degrees more than when not using LTE. You could feel the heat but it did not overheat. EDIT: read my comment below :) I'm the owner of a Samsung Watch 4 LTE edition. Besides Gpay issue that I raised on a different post, I'm also experiencing another problem, that it seems is a common issue and has been raised by users of Samsung Watch 4 LTE on different countries i.e. overheating problem when the watch is used as standalone, not connected to the phone. (, Galaxy Watch 1). Is this common? My set up is Bluetooth connection on , wifi off, and LTE voice permanently on with LTE data off. I'm in a week mobile signal area. I was sat reading , about 18c air temperature at night. Is the LTE hardware working overtime because the LTE signal keeps disappearing, and is overheating? Go in the following order: Settings On Your Phone. 1) Settings> Advanced Features> Call And Text On Other Devices - Enable. Settings On Your Watch. 1) Settings> Connections> Mobile Networks> Select Auto (Always On can be selected but Auto works fine and is better for battery life). Go To The Wearable App On Your Phone. Instead of pausing the playback or simply accepting the poor reception, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE, just like the 4 LTE overheats and then goes into forced cool down, i.e. you loose all functionality. I do not know why Samsung is having so much trouble fixing this. The solution seems so simple. DtSnDrH.
